I have been an artist for most of my life and my favourite medium is dye on silk. But I also paint in oils, acrylics, ink & watercolour and pastel. My subjects are varied from landscapes, seascapes and wildlife, to portraits, but I paint more flowers now, and my latest ones are large and on stretched canvas.
I have won several awards for my work, including the major open art award at the Hervey Bay Art Society, Queensland, Australia, a few years ago. The painting was of Roses (with dye, on silk ).I inherited my artistic talent from my late mother Queenie Ragless (her maiden name) who won a Silver Star at the Royal Drawing Society in London when she was about 23 years old, and my grandmother who loved to paint also.
