This is an oil painting that I did of a winters day in Philadelphia. There is a sculpture there of a giant clothespin that I always loved.

About Marita McVeigh

I discovered my talent in art as an adult. I am creative and really like to experiment with all the different art mediums, from oil paints to printmaking. Vibrant colors are a favorite of mine to use in my art. Nature is a constant theme although I am not limited to that and continually explore other ideas for my art. I enjoy being expressive and free with my paintings and I am not inclined to use too much detail.

I like this one. It just feels good. What is the clothes pin suppose to signify? It’s such a different subject for a sculpture.

Thanks Carol. I’m not sure what it is supposed to signify but I used to work near it and I always liked it!
