Dotted Landscape by Marita McVeigh

Dotted Landscape by

This is a painting I did in acrylic. I was taking a class in color theory and I had to do optical mixtures with dots. I really like how it turned out and I hope to do more of these. I also did the same landscape scene in a traditional oil painting. It is called “Irish Landscape”

About Marita McVeigh

I discovered my talent in art as an adult. I am creative and really like to experiment with all the different art mediums, from oil paints to printmaking. Vibrant colors are a favorite of mine to use in my art. Nature is a constant theme although I am not limited to that and continually explore other ideas for my art. I enjoy being expressive and free with my paintings and I am not inclined to use too much detail.

Thanks! I worked small on this one. I can’t imagine doing something like this on a large canvas.
