About Marita McVeigh

I discovered my talent in art as an adult. I am creative and really like to experiment with all the different art mediums, from oil paints to printmaking. Vibrant colors are a favorite of mine to use in my art. Nature is a constant theme although I am not limited to that and continually explore other ideas for my art. I enjoy being expressive and free with my paintings and I am not inclined to use too much detail.

Is this your first abstract Marita? I’ve seen lots of your work, but all based in “reality” (whatever that is). Hey! Next thing to do is move to the dark side and try surrealism!!!

  • I have done just a few. Actually a few of my art teachers have told me that I have a dark side!!!! It always surprises them. Lil old housewife with a dark side!!! I have never tried surrrealism, perhaps its time to give it a try!!!!
