You can take the boy out of Edinburgh, but you can’t ever entirely remove Edinburgh from the boy…. The perfect environs of Dean Village through which runs the Water of Leith… a haven for photographers, a subject of many moods.

He would have loved this and I’m sure he would have provided an apt conundrum to accompany. Marvelous, Sheila!!
Thanks again, Deb. He always wanted to get back to Edinburgh, so was ever-appreciative of Edinburgh images ~ mine & MANY others.
Fabulous capture of a view I run pass on many occasions ! A breathtaking posting Sheila
Thank you kindly, Paul, & for the favorite… Dean Village & Mike Oxley ~ an unbeatable combination!!
Miss that man!! – bet he was peeking over your shoulder as you lined this up, Sheila !!
Many thanks, Mattie, & for the favorite. Actually, I took this picture while Mike was still with us, but knowing him (ever a presence), he probably WAS looking over my shoulder! He divided his heart between his long-time home in Canada & his hometown of Edinburgh, I’d say; not a bad dichotomy!
I didn’t know Mike, but if he hales from Edinburgh, this is an excellent & thoughtful tribute to him Sheila. A splendid image in B&W. >Ron<
Thanks much, Ron. Mike & family left Edinburgh when he was about 12 years old, I think, & he lived in Cornwall, Ontario for years. I’m certain he’d have loved this!
THis is a breathtaking view young Shelia
Thank you, Malcolm. As you know, Edinburgh is just full of nooks & crannies & wonders aplenty!
Very well captured Shjeila
Thank you, John. Would love to be back there, but that’s nothing unusual!

I would move there in a heartbeat! Thanks, Stuart, & for the favorite, too!!
Beautiful view of the old world architecture, Sheila! Great shot!
Thank ‘ee, Gene. This beautiful scene works in every kind of mode! It’s a gem of a place.
Well I’ve been there but I don’t have the T-shirt……………….. yet!Works superbly in B&W Sheila WTG GIrl :o) xx
No time like the present, I say. Beyond that, thanks!! And thanks for the favorite, too. I’ve been sitting here pondering whom to ob*y next; also how to adjust the English language without getting sued. Now I’m thinking about Jimmy Dean Sausage… can I call this Edinburgh locale ‘Dean Village’, or do I have to hedge my bets by rendering it as ‘D**n Village’? Will that get me in trouble with the ‘Village People’? Cripes.
