My parents did not really name me ‘Artwhiz47’; they went with Sheila…. In my 64 years I’ve been a budding paleontologist (never bore fruit, but still love the dinos), a professional singer, a dabbler (only – may as well say it here and now) in art, and even more of a well-intentioned dabbler in photography (with the occasional Grand Shot), a writer of letters (still do it, with stamps), a writer of minor histories involving family, a jazz historian with a particular interest in pianist Kenny Kersey, a researcher into things Scottish (genuine Scottish history), and an autodidact in a slew of fields too numerous to mention. I was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the City, not the Cataract, grew up along the Niagara north of the city in Lewiston, spent half my life, one way or another, in Canada, got married at 18, and am still married to the same exact guy, another newly minted Redbubbler, 46 years later.
