The Grotesqui Monkey Choir were a brilliant performance troupe that were in their heyday in Syndey in the early eighties. They did many performance peices but probably the most profound and powerful was a theatrical peice called Ice Carving in Mexico along with a small orchestral group called Modern Opera which they presented at Art Unit in late 1984. This is a shot of Martin Heyworth who was one of the core members of the group.
