Art Unit poster run 1983 by

we did all out own silk-screening at Art Unit and it was a very effective way to get a message out on the streets way back before the interwebthingy was invented… and so when we were printing there would be wet posters laying on every flat surface of the building…. and that’s what this image shows… a room full of wet posters somehow morphing in to something else ….

Great picture. Used to love screen printing & used to rather like the smell of the ink when there was a load of stuff drying too !

  • hey there Philmore… silkscreening is a wonderful medium… done so much of it over the years on tee shirts and whatever… now it’s all digital so you don’t get all those smells… wet darkroom smells and drying silkscreened tee shirts… they are def smells that trigger memory for me…..
