DIFFERENT PATHWAY - DIFFERENT LANDSCAPE
oil on canvas 106×76cm
This is a depiction of what may have been had Europeans listened learnt and embraced the Aboriginal Culture in 1788.
This is not an indigineous painting.
I have attempted to show European development of Australian landscape overlaid by Aboringinal landscape and culture. These are images from within my mind after living in Austalia for 48 years. It is my thoughts of a different landscape would exist one richer and healthier and thereby by default all the inhabitants of this great land may have shared a wealth of knowledge culturally and spiritually perhaps an existance with more balance.
DIFFERENT PATHWAY - DIFFERENT LANDSCAPE belongs to the following groups:

Well done….
I personally believe if that at an early stage both cultures embraced each other in fellowship and worked together as equals both cultures would have forged a strong shared national Australian identity…..hopefully this will happen one day…

Your comments are so valued by me Marvymc thanks goodness that each day is a new day and we can all embrace good thoughts deeds and culture to as you say ‘forge a strong shared national Australian identity’ Art is a great leveling format for cultural exchanges and cultural appreciation as often artists – I believe – see through different eyes perhaps setting aside the beaurocatic layers of nonsense to see the significant issues. So thanks again friend happy creating
