Wild Rainbow Lorikeets Feeding ~ Innisfail, FNQ, AU. by

Capturing the moment in evening time in slightly windy and overcast conditions. Some wild Rainbow Lorikeets were spotted moving around while clinging to and feeding from this very large pendular inflorescence on a well established Alexandra palm tree (Archontophoenix alexandrae). They didn’t stay long.
Location ~ Innisfail, Far North Queensland, Australia.

*An ‘inflorescence’ is a cluster of flowers on one or a series of branches, which together make a large showy blossom.

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”
