Finally my Sexy Pink Heliconia plants are flowering really well. With some gorgeous fine tropical winter weather at last (early July 2012), I had the chance to spend time photographing in my ‘ever expanding’, ever green garden. I used my very first manual prime lens after recently being reacquainted with it again. I also had to work out the necessary digital settings for it to work on the DSLR. The lens still works beautifully.

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky: ~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.” → My Facebook Art Page
