An awe-inspiring painterly moment, I had to capture this infrequent abstract tropical twilight (dawn) that illuminated the belly of a blanketed textured cloudscape in colours of orange and charcoal. Photo was taken Jan.27, 2012, 5.54am in Australian rural country, from Vasa Views Estate, near Innisfail, Far North Queensland.
Skies are so beautiful, and endlessly varied. lovely shot! :) x
Thanks Linda. Really enjoying our diverse/dynamic (non) wet seasonal weather patterns at the moment – a vast contrast to previous years when usually deluged with monsoonal rains and cyclones and nothing but continual grey green everywhere. Just Feb. and March to get thru now. Devastating cat.5 Cyclone Yasi’s 1st anniversary today. 8 (
Thankyou Meg. This small image doesn’t do it any real justice though compared to what my naked eye saw in the detail of those highlighted fine textured clouds! Note to self … So need a ‘digital’ tele-photo zoom lens. One day … signed ‘frustrated’!
