Hi Linda, thanks. Yes, I can see a resemblance. 8 ) Indeed, one could flap those stitched paper sides like butterfly wings … 8 )
I originally was going to plant an actual small 3D fibre vessel, same shape, in here but by the time I had painted/stressed the timber outer box edges, the brown vessel colour looked too much. So I then substituted with the blue paper shape instead, which sits raised on a small rectangular piece of clear perspex. I need to attempt another artist book box work with the actual 3D banana fibre vessel inside from the start I think!
