A close detail section of an abundant flowering Sansevieria Trifasciata.
This plant which was flowering during the tropical winter month of June, is more commonly known in Australia as the Mother In-Law’s Tongue. The fresh flowers exude a beautiful delicate perfumed scent during the night time only.
This was an amazing find for me, as the flowers were well hidden. The multiple tiny, elegant and dainty white clustering flowers project from a rarely seen, nearly two feet tall upright stem found sandwiched between it’s old, well established plant’s large firm green spear-like leaves.

Photo location – in the backyard at my workplace in Innisfail, Far North Queensland, a rural region, also known as the Wet Tropics of Australia.

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”
