A macro zoom shot of extraordinary textures and patterns found in nature. The unusual colours, textures and knobby root growth were found near the base of the trunk of a small palm tree (species unknown to me) which was growing along a boundary fence line of the school where I was working at the time, in Innisfail, Far North Queensland, Australia.
Original photographic image was developed from a film negative which has been scanned and minimally processed in Photoshop.
