A Potter’s Garden (No.5) ~ Purple slitted ceramic vessel and red-green coloured Draconea.
Mixed media: Rotring pen & ink, watercolour pencil on Arches 300gsm rag paper.
+ Component drawing No.5 of the assembled original artwork A Potter’s Garden
Exhibited in ‘Cooperate, Collaborate’, Cairns Regional Gallery.
+ A group exhibition, artists had to work in someway with or reflect something about another participating artist.
+ For this work I chose to reflect on my potter artist friend’s country garden in Kuranda, Far North Queensland, Australia, and how she places her ‘lesser quality’, faulty or something gone wrong pots for display around in her tropical garden.
(Recently, for two years running, her garden was chosen for the national one-day-a-year Open Public Garden Display.)
