About Kerryn Madsen-Pietsch

My creative art practice may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:

“Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”

such a lot of work has gone into these, big congrats

  • Thanks. Yes, you are so right “such a lot of work” – this one in particular took forever because of inc. three very detailed and complicated imagery. Preparing and folding the paper length alone took over two hours. There are more folds hence more squares in this one too.

All the best Kerryn. This is absolutely beaut!

  • So happy that you like this one Gloria. I am pleased with its outcome. The back of this is a delicious ‘burnt orange’ colour’.
Have recently posted up images of the actual gallery display etc on my facebook fan page and also on abc’s artpost.
It’s certainly been a slow working process but also a relaxing enjoyable artistic journey.
