The marvellous jade vine flowers.
Shot taken in an artist friend’s garden near Kuranda, Far North Queenland where several artists met up to plan for the group art exhibition, Tablelands, Perimeters and Parameters.
This flowering bunch had nearly finished it’s life cycle. As each flower drops off, sometimes if fortunate, one may get to hang around just for that bit longer!

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”

Really cool! I have never seen these!
And I’ve never had the opportunity to acquire one of these plants. They are a spectacular colour and is a large growing vine that needs a lot of space and good support structure.
I do have more photos of the various flowering growth stages to put up. WIll in time when able. Cheers.

great composition!! wonderful colour of the flower!!
Thanks Shylie. It is lovely isn’t it, so hard to resist and thinking ‘I want one too, where can I get the plant.’
This is one of the more aesthetic compositions I was able to shoot as the flowering vines are usually so long it’s hard to compose a good one. And then you have background to consider as well…
