My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”

beautiful and rich and so interesting, great work!

  • Thanks Linda, took a full week to do. Had done many workshops at the beach prior – think one can see some of the influences rubbing off, lol.

    Quite unique Kerryn…bold!

  • : ) Thanks Sarah. The charcoaled burnt wood remnants from the beach camp fires have played a strong influence in this work.
Also on this RB page a much more sharp contrasted appearance is being given.

    great idea!!! and well designed!!!

  • Thanks Shylie. I just went with my strong intuitive hunches at the time. My ‘vessel’ was overflowing.
I also uniquely designed a large lounge coffee table with glass top to display this work looking down onto it. Since it sold I have not replaced it for another work in the table.

Kerryn, this is so different and interesting.

  • Thanks Gloria. As mentioned above, strong influences at the time from previous beach installation workshops. I’m a very ‘tactile’, collage type person at the best of times. : )

    very beautiful
….. I am thinking some detail is perhaps lost to me even on large view but the idea/spirit of this work shows through very strongly …

  • Thankyou dear Anna, this one was created very much ‘in the flow’.

Yes larger artworks here on RB are unable to show those finer details in a work unless of course one loads up a ‘detail’ section of an image separately.
On one can actually select a part of an image to view (offered in a checkerboard format only so that the whole image does not appear) and shows the actual dpi/detail image quality loaded up by the artist.

I love this so much it has to go into my favs

  • Thanks GypsyJ. I have never discussed the concept of this work with anyone and it is the first time I have loaded the image up on the internet. May I ask what in or about this work attracts you most?
