Artist Statement
The vessel imagery often used is a symbol-metaphor for our being, how we fill ‘with meaning’ (open, receptive, upright form) and empty, pour out (upside down image) our ’’thoughtful’’ thoughts in words and deeds! The colours used and ‘x’ shapes imply one’s physical and spiritual ‘connections’ and ‘relationships’ as we keep transforming as humans ‘being’.

About Kerryn Madsen-Pietsch

My creative art practice may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:

“Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”
