Totally enjoyed painting this scene on-site while other artists also observed and painted the sea and landscape surrounds.
On the Sunday of that weekend we were inundated with people from everywhere as the F.F.P. C.W.A. members held their first open-air markets. They’d double booked the C.W.A. hall and needed to use the kitchen! But we couldn’t, didn’t give over the hall – all our gear was everywhere. What a shamoozle it was!
We soon became the entertainment, a draw card and spectacle for the many people who kept looking over our shoulders to see what we were doing.
( :-O 10c a look I’d be rich!)
Extra note: These coconut trees actually survived severe Cyclone Larry of March 2006!
