Totally enjoyed painting this beachfront scene on-site while other artists also observed and painted the sea and beachfront/landscape surrounds.
On the Sunday of that weekend we were inundated with people from everywhere as the F.F.P. C.W.A. members held their first open-air markets. They’d double booked the C.W.A. hall and needed to use the kitchen! But we couldn’t, didn’t give over the hall – all our gear was everywhere. What a shamoozle it was!
We soon became the entertainment, a draw card and spectacle for the many people who kept looking over our shoulders to see what we were doing.
( :-O 10c a look I’d be rich!)
Extra note: These coconut trees actually survived severe Cyclone Larry of March 2006!
