It was just too hot and dry for this poor fella, who, like every living tropical creature, was still waiting for the rather late wet seasonal rains to arrive.
Obviously desperate this large white lipped green tree frog had appeared out of the blue. After hearing and investigating a ‘not so normal’ sound in my work environment I found the frog resting on the outside window bar.
Just inside the open basement window is located a water tub. Their sense of smell for water is amazing!

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”

Yes it is getting harder every day !!

  • The frog revisited the premises a couple more times. One morning I discovered something had left an unusual trail of dirt and grime in the kitchen sink. I thought at first maybe a rodent but I looked around further to discover him/her? nestled comfortably and sleeping over top of my clean dishes!
