Radial Charm (Licuala Cordata Palm, FNQ) by

Beautiful shaped palm leaf foliage of the rare Licuala Cordata Palm.
It’s large radial pleated leaves have overlapping bases which gives them a near circular shape.
This rainforest species Licuala cordata palm grows low to ground in filtered sunlight (understory palm) in a tropical climate and is endemic to central Sarawak, Malaysia Borneo.
Photo shot taken at the Flecker Botanical Gardens, Cairns, FNQ, AU.

My “creative art practice” may be be succinctly summed up in the following fantastic metaphorical quote by Kandinsky:
~ “Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key then another to cause vibration of the soul.”
