About my Art( Watercolor, and some CGI & Photography).

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My name is Pnina Osguthorpe (aka Dauber-Osguthorpe)

Grew up in Israel, and lived in Wiltshire UK, Colorado & California US, and now in Cornwall UK.
Ph. D in Chemistry, employed as researcher in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
Art Classes and workshops: UCSD USA; University of Bath UK
ABOUT MY ART
I am focusing on painting with transparent watercolors on paper, yupo or silk. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. My favourite genre is surrealism, juxtaposing familiar elements with imaginary ones, in a symbolic dream like manner.
In addition to traditional art I also create Computer Graphics images since there are many elements that I can only create as computer images. But I mainly use CG to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor.
I also Like photography, sometimes as reference material for my art but mainly to capture beautiful or unusual things I saw.
