An age old issue – the passage of time and long term survival.
Mythology dealt with aspects of this issue in the legend of the Phoenix – an eternal creature that cyclically regenerates or is reborn. Usually it is depicted as a bird rising from the ashes of its previous self consumed by fire. My twist – I chose to depict it in a human form with modern technology revival mechanism.
Will the reboot work? A bit of hopeful thinking on my behalf?

Machinery of Time by P. Osguthorpe
Original time flows perfectly, horizon to furthest horizon,
Uniform rhythm, universal and eternal.
Mutated time-clones bestowed upon the countless
Human time, internal.
Confined within spaces within spaces,
Wall upon wall.
Fatigued, flawed machinery,
To endure cold-sweat fears
Corrosive streaming tears,
Accelerates or stalls
