Torrey pines state reserve .
I didnt even realize the roadrunner is a real bird, I thought the cartoon creators made it up…I saw one in one a recent visits to Torey pines state reserve. Examination of my photos revealed that the bird was running around with a lizard in its beak! This watercolor described that scene.
Painted with W&N paints, and a bit of watercolor pencils and ink, on Arches CP 140lbs paper. Size of original 11×7″.
