Soft Strings for Silent Songs
The theme of this image is ‘non verbal communication as a basis for a relationship’. I was trying to express my hope that such relations are possible. From its inception and all through its creation I saw nothing in it but tenderness and warmth from both sides. He cant talk, but can play her ‘internal strings’ like a musician. She cant talk but her inner light shines on him and bridges the gap between them. Perhaps the hug will be completed…
The image is painted on 140lb Arches watercolor paper with Winsor-Newton paints and some pen&ink accents. The size of the painting is approx 15×22”

so beautiful

This is a superbly abstract figure scene, and thought-provoking watercolour piece. The detail is-first rate, and the colours are exquisitely painted, as only watercolour can show.
Damien Venditti
excellent work in both skill and concept … i like how thier shadows embrace

I see here a lot of pain, actually… all this blood, cracking, open guts and alienation in a very intimate situation… but it must be my own projection :-(

I also see a lot of pain, and being overpowered, yet her inner light struggles to continue, while everything around them spins with all emotions. Very powerful stuff. Anyway this is what I see and feel, it might just be me.

Stunning. Just love all the transparent layers in the watercolour. But this painting is charged with tension and is really expressive. I loved looking at your work.
