Fallen Fragments
The image was painted on 140lb Arches watercolor paper with Winsor-Newton paints. The size of the painting is approx 14×21”.
I hardly did any pre-planning for it . A bit of masking along shapes from a different painting, a bit of wax rubbed on with a candle, lots of paint poured in almost random places, a sprinkle of salt – and this is the result.
Usually I know what I want to convey in a painting but I’m not sure what if anything I wanted to express here. It was more of an instinctive process heavily influenced by fragments of dreams. So, the question is- does anyone have a clue what it’s saying? :)
Any comments, technical, artistic, philosophical – all welcome.

I am liking how my focus is continually drawn to the hand in the middle of the work. Then, I want to look at something else, and am drawn back… I concur with Marion – on both points :)
What I see is a metaphoric pulling of weeds. Tending a garden so to speak – rooting out what ought not to be there. And not just one person doing this but several, as if there is a collective maintenance being performed.

or a person drowning overwhelmed perhaps and hangs on for dear life.
