Impressive. I like the pensive look on the face, illustrated by the distracted eyes. But it looks to me that there is more on your mind than just the dishes (my look when confronted by dishes is to roll my eyes upwards – the “why me” look).

Also love the background – textured, contrasted and non-specific whilst still supporting the foreground figure. I’m struggling with my backgrounds. I might take a leaf ouf of your book (you can take credit for the inspiration if I make it in the big time)

Thank you for your nice words! Being an inspiration is wonderful enough even without credit. Please mail me if there is anything I can help with.
PS did you see that its in the portrait challenge (voting now reopened:) )

I love the shadowing and ultrafine detail in this woman’s garment. I cannot decipher the expression on her face, whether it is determination or sadness or anger in the bud. But I love this. :)

Beautiful one doesn’t realize how may colors are in skin! Excellent!

I like the loose technique in this- just enough detail to define it without telling too much.

Really love this one. The way a watercolor should look.
