Since May 17, 1987 when I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I would pray, draw and paint in a process. However in November 2005, my dance leader encouraged me to paint a dancer in worship for an upcoming conference at our church. I began pondering this idea and decided I would take her challenge. Up to this point, I had never taken a blank canvas before and spontaneously painted. So I held up my paint brushes about 7:30 pm before the Lord and said I would like to bless Him, but I didn’t know how to do that. I asked if He would show me somehow because He is the KING, who has everything. I wondered what I may offer to demonstrate my deep, passionate Love for HIM. As I placed an anointed CD in my player, I began asking Him what colors I was to use and placed them on my pallet. As I began mixing colors and soaring within the Spirit, it was as though the “Heavens Opened” above my studio. I felt a Wave of His Glory come down upon me, and another Wave, and literally my brush began to vibrate with His Power and Presence that I had not known before. I was so enjoying this personal encounter with Jesus Christ. After several hours until 2 am… I was so amazed what had come forth onto the canvas!!! This was a new beginning of my painting totally shifting as a prayer of worship carrying His Presence. It wasn’t until July 2006 in Charlotte, North Carolina in a Lutheran Church, where God divinely had me experience once again an “Open Heaven” in a live, corporate worship.
