Autumn Glow by

Featured on the RedBubble Homepage, as part of the Camera-less Photography group!

Optimized for prints and posters. This is one of my passions – making images using only a flat bed scanner as the “camera” and following up with some digital enhancement.

I was amazed to fins so much variety in the color transformations of leaves all from the same tree. The original leaves vary in size from a dime to a silver dollar (U.S. coins) and have varied length stems. To improve on my design, I adjusted the length of the stems.

The only other biological manipulation was to resize each leaf to fit my design layout. The colors are real, although very slightly enhanced by an increase in color saturation. I also added the glowing effect, which I hope improves the artistic quality overall.
