A Wall with a View
This original acrylic painting on canvas began as a sketch of the Sandia Mountains around sunset, but evolved into something else when I decided to add the adobe wall. I especially like the adobe walls with the wagonwheels enclosed. People around here create some very charming adobe walls, gates and doorways.

Bizarre – but so typical of how a painting develops.
Much to admire in this one.

All of your work fascinates me, Gayle. As I’ve noted before, you have a gifted ability to capture exactly how Albuquerque and vicinity appears to the discerning eye. You focus on the very things which accent the ‘Duke City.’ Bravo! Your works should be displayed downtown in City Hall! (Or are they already???)

I love your paintings! They bring back many fond memories of the time my parents and I lived in Santa Fe. I’ll have to show them your gallery here next time I visit them.
