THIS PAINTING IN OILS ON A 20″×30″ CANVAS BOARD IS FOR SALE AT £750. E-MAIL mike@transportartist.co.uk FOR DETAILS.
Rarer than hen’s teeth was the TVW (Transport Vehicles Warrington) which appeared briefly on the haulage scene in the late 1950s. This example of Coal Deliveries (East Midlands) is typical but every lorry seemed to differ from its brother vehicles, that is if you were ever lucky enough to spot one! Since completing this painting I’ve learnt that the livery was brown and cream and it has been changed to this now on the original.

I saw a few of these as a lad, then again we did live alongside the A34/A50 main road south from Warrington. I remember sitting up against the window when it was raining heavily & watching the equivalent of the M6 go past
Really love all your work Mike…what’s better than a series on Big Boy Toys….always wanted to do some painting on these type subject matters….cheers…great job

Great painting of another rare beast Mike. They all have a similarity during this period, don’t you think.? – Ted
Yes Ted, they followed the trend and resembled the then current ERF Kleer-View cab.
