THIS PAINTING IN OILS ON A 20″×30″ CANVAS BOARD IS FOR SALE . E_MAILmike@transportartist.co.uk FOR DETAILS.

Many pre-war lorries were kept in service long after the war by virtue of their robust construction and a very real shortage of new vehicles when Britain’s factories exported the bulk of their production to all corners of the World.

Here a 1936 Leyland Hippo six-wheeler is loaded by an even older crane with a large marine diesel at the little fishing port of Brixham, Devon for its long journey to Gardner’s Paticroft works, Manchester for overhaul.
