Leyland Octopus on round timber. by

THIS PAINTING IN ACRYLICS ON A3 SIZE WATER-COLOUR PAPER IS FOR SALE AT £450. E-MAILmike@transportartist.co.uk FOR DETAILS.

An unusual role for a Leyland Octopus is in the round timber business but nevertheless Arthur Green employed this beast on this demanding work back in the 1960s sucessfully. Overloading was the norm in the trade and it’s anyone’s guess as to the weight of these tree-trunks being hauled out onto the highway.

A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American in acrylics on A3 heavyweight watercolour paper would cost £500.

Superb log lorry! These big beasts, must have taken some abuse (like me recently!) with these colossal weights.
As ever, this has your trademark exceptionally fine detail, superbly judged highlights and shadows.

Mike, I’d like you to join my, Yellow Two group. The only criteria for the group, is that there has to be 50% Yellow in the scene, as here.

  • Thanks Colin, these LAD cabbed Leylands certainly had a certain brutish look about them but were terribly uncomfortable to drive!

Thanks mate I’d be glad to post it in your group.
