This ex M.O.D. A.E.C Militant with it six-wheel drive and meaty tyres was an ideal vehicle for the haulage of timber. First introduced in 1951, it was a natural progression from the Matador 4×4 although the Army only rated it at 10 tons, its haulage capacity here far exceeds that figure.
