THIS PAINTING IN ACRYLICS ON A3 SIZE WATER-COLOUR PAPER IS FOR SALE AT £350. E-MAILmike@transportartist.co.uk FOR DETAILS.
The Frameless Tanker was developed by Scammell to reduce unladen weight by having the tank double as a container and support for the load. This 1926 model was one of the first in the field in the bulk transport of fresh milk by road, before then a preserve of the railway companies. It took a long time but eventually road transport would take all the fresh milk traffic in Britain from the declining railway.
