The 100 ton (payload) Scammell tractor was introduced in 1929 with just two examples being built. In 1937 Edward Box bought the second of these from the original owners Marston Road Services and it is seen here unloading a W.D. 2.10.0 locomotive to be shipped to France shortly after D Day 1944.
