Bedford SB Duple by Mike Jeffries

Bedford SB Duple by

THIS PAINTING IS SOLD.

I have never quite understood why Bedford had to cease production of vehicles bearing in mind the success of their products for over fifty years.

The Bedford SB PSV chassis was a best seller for many years in the medium weight market especially bodied as a coach for the smaller coach operator who wanted an inexpensive vehicle with a relatively simple specification that could be maintained easily.

Here we see a typical Bedford with Duple 32 seat coach bodywork complete with elaborate “butterfly” grill negotiating the narrow streets of a small Welsh town sometime in the 1950s.

The original painting long since sold is in acrylics on board 20″×30″ but this image is too small to make decent reproductions from.

A painting like this of your favourite vehicle would cost about £1500.

Please remember this image is my property and protected by copyright law.
