One of only three ever built this 100 ton+ ballast tractor of 1942 was the mainstay of Wynn’s heavy haulage fleet during the War years until superseded from top spot by Diamond T and Pacific tractor units.
Seen here with a 90 ton excavator on the level crossing at Clay Cross on the old A38 just North of Chesterfield complete with motorcycle police escort. the old Foden is nearing the end of its life but still doing its job in a plodding, reliable way.
A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American, in oils on canvas or board would cost about £1500.
