THIS PAINTING IS SOLD.
This is a very early railway painting of mine in acrylics from about 1974 and depicts a French Pacific locomotive as rebuilt by Andre Chapelon the doyen of steam engineers of the 20th century.
The image is too small for reproduction of cards or prints on redbubble but is included here for interest and the fact that this was a beautiful locomotive, so typically French and I’m tempted to make a copy in oils.
I think the original of this image is somewhere in Canada or the USA because I had a very good customer in London, Ontario in those days who bought many pictures of mine of mainly American and French railways.
I would be very interested if anyone who owns one of these early works could contact me with details

Very good Mike. You have obviously always had an eye for detail. – Ted
Mike, when I look at this I expect to see ‘GRA’ after your name…
Thank you, Rasendyll, I WAS one of the first members many years ago but I suppose I’m not much of a club person, it’s the same with the GMA bless’em, lovely lot but living down in Devon I was always a little cut off from the rest of the membership.
