Angela Cater

Angela Cater has been painting animals ever since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush. Aged 2 when she was given her first kitten, cats have naturally become her favourite subject and her resident felines are regular models.

Largely self-taught, Angela is also the illustrator of several children’s picture books and is currently working on an art memoir book, “A Lifetime of Cats.”

Angela is an active member of the UK Coloured Pencil Society and was one of the first ten members to achieve signature status. She is also an associate member of the Society of Feline Artists.

Angela is happy to accept pet portrait commissions and aims to bring out the true personality of the animal as well as achieve a realistic representation.
