An Edmontosaurus strolls through a field of golden flowers. This dinosaur roamed North America during the Late Cretaceous and was a highly successful species.

Beautiful and graceful, the Hadrosaurs represent some of the best known of the dinosaur groups. Their remains have been found with skin and muscle intact, giving us an even better understanding of what these magnificant animals must have looked like.

I’m a dinosaur scientist in Montana (Museum of the Rockies) and I think this is REALLY nice. My favourite of your dino paintings.

I really like your unique style, especially the rich and vivid colours: much other dino art that’s out there is kind of samey, so it’s refreshing to see something new and original looking.

If you have any more dinosaur paintings please upload them!

  • Wow, thank you!!! I love dinosaurs and love painting them too:) I haven’t been to the Museum of the Rockies, but would dearly love to one day!

I like trying to be different when depicting these beautiful animals, so I am glad to hear people really like the bright colors and impressionist technique. I’m working on a Steg painting now. Its over at my blog if you want to see it progress. http://www.art-by-angie.blogspot.com/

I’ll have more brightly colored pieces like this soon, I have so many ideas in my head:) Thank you again so much for your comment, it makes me feel really good:) Its also great to meet a dino specialist!!!

df9465 is so right – the technique and colours bring the hadrosaur to life.
