Whenever I travel in California’s High Sierra mountains, I find myself spending lots of time methodically looking down to see where I am going, and to watch the trail ahead. And while that is necessary, the real spiritual beauty of my trek can be found looking up. And isn’t the same true for life? Too many of us are caught up in journeys that require our full attention focus on the trail. We’re so involved in the details that we lose our ability to appreciate the beauty and romance that surround us. To me, looking up is really what life’s dance is all about.
Could be the Italian Dolomites Ed! Nice rocks! ;o)
Hey Krys…Thanks for complimenting me on my rocks! I placed each one in order, planted, waited a few tens of billions of years, and then took the photo. Keep smiling!
Hahaha … love your comment to Krys … didn’t see that before. Am well thanks, hope you are too. Have only sold 1 download and 4 books but better than nothing … received my first royalty cheque but the banks take most of it in charges as it’s a USA check … and have to wait 20 days for it to clear, which I think is ridiculous in this day & age. Have fun, and thanks for asking :)
Hey CJ…well, at least you’ve sold something…it’s a touch economy…the US bank thing is a hassle…
Great shot Ed !! I agree too many of us are tied up with our own insignificant lives, to see the bigger picture ! but that is the nature of the species.
Hi George…Isn’t it amazing what you can see when you look up. George? Thanks for the comment! Hope you’re doing well.
Beautiful shot! I agree…if you don’t look up…you miss so much…the beauty of the sky and stars and moon…and the occasional unidentied objects that cross our skies. Not to mention the cougar who may be on the cliff above you so it’s a good idea to look up.
Hi ER…LOL…yes, I didn’t include the mountain lion part, but a buddy of mine was backpacking alone years ago (in violation of rule #1) and he came across one…it just left, but wow, what a rush! I prefer a less exciting trail myself. Hehehe. Thanks for the comment!
