I’ve always loved art at school but it has taken me 30 years to revive the yearn to paint. Trying every media and technique has been fun, although it may make me “Jack of all trades and master of none”! Hey did that rhyme? You’re right, I also dabble in poetry-writing and won the American Poetry Society New Poets Award in 2004.

I am mainly self-taught but have taken occasional classes in watercolor (at both schools in Italy and Zimbabwe), acrylics, oils in the RSA, China Painting and hand thrown pottery in the USA. Recently I certified in “One Stroke Painting” a novel Tole Painting method invented by an American housewife Donna Dewberry (www.onestrokepaintingcom). I have been teaching this technique for 5 years, at the same time trying to raise my bar as a serious artist learning with Gary and Kathwren Jenkins the “Wet-On-Wet” oil painting technique(www.Jenkinsartstudio.com). I’ve held exhibitions in Johannesburg (South Africa), Bolsena (Italy) and Sarasota, Lake Placid and Sebring in Florida (USA).

I come from a long line of Italian artists (painters, sculptors and musicians) and I was thrilled to discover some of their artistic genes have been passed down to me as well as onto my 3 very talented daughters.
