A heavily pruned willow tree, the kind you see along the edges of fields in Belgium and Holland.
Basically worked entirely from memory and imagination, The atmosphere a mix of undecided snow , bad weather and sun, which is how it often is, with a mist you can eat. Personally I rather like it, it has a sense of mystery.
Actually, if you go to my journal page you can read about and see the steps in painting this work. The size of the original painting is 30 by 40 cm
Looks like home actually. This is fruit tree country. You’ve captured the other worldly feeling of a heavily pollarded tree looming out of the fog beautifully.

It has an otherworldly feel to it…love the contrast and color, and the shape of the crown.
Thanks Cindy, The distant forms seem to morph, sometimes trees , sometimes strange forms, It was fun making.

Really gorgeous colors and atmosphere.
Thanks Azellah, I almost stopped, not wishing to risk losing the effect of the atmosphere, but I continued to advantage as it now looks complete.
