… thought I’d try something a little different. Here is a vintage photo attached to an old photo album.
This church is located on Buttermilk Road, just off
I-40, between Knoxville, Tennessee, USA and Kingston, Tennessee. As many of you know from my story, Buttermilk Road is the road on which our farm was located. The location of this church is on the other end of Buttermilk Road.
After taking this capture, I created a sepia image. Then with my Corel program, I added the photo album page with taped corners. Next, I played around with various additional shades of color. Here is the result I settled on.

As an artist I enjoy painting and photographing segments of rural life. Country living became a new world for me back in the sixties when we moved from Chicago, Illinois to East Tennessee. I want to capture what I now see before country living vanishes… at least in my area!
