"A Snowy Evening in Knoxville" (a series, no.2) by

Well, well, … looks like K-town has a fresh snowfall! With my camera, I stepped outside of our residence and decided to do a short photo series.
My goal here is to create various compositions using the street lights and falling snow. The snow in most of these pictures is photographed in motion, presenting an interesting look.

I had fun developing this series, entitled, A Snowy Evening in Knoxville , comprised of 9 photographs. I hope you enjoy viewing it!

You’re looking at no.2 of 9 shots. I plan to post three pictures at a time (mainly due to posting restrictions of some groups, i.e. Post no more than three pictures a day in this group, etc).

…series developed in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

As an artist I enjoy painting and photographing segments of rural life. Country living became a new world for me back in the sixties when we moved from Chicago, Illinois to East Tennessee. I want to capture what I now see before country living vanishes… at least in my area!

    Congratulations, 2/11/2011…..Shirley

  • Wonderful Shirley!!! This feature really makes my day! Snowy moments like this are not all that common here in Knoxville, Tennessee. But when they happen, I break out the camera. Thanks-a-million and congrats to all featured artists, too!

Great image we dont get the snow here unfortunately

  • Thanks Julie!!! Yeah, snow is rare for us too. Here it is late January and we’ve had enough snowflakes to only count them.
