This is how it was once done. And, done again!
We’ve come a long way baby!!!
Capture taken in Crossville, Tennessee, U.S.A. May 22, 2010, in the back yard of Ruthie’s Antiques and converted to sepia.

As an artist I enjoy painting and photographing segments of rural life. Country living became a new world for me back in the sixties when we moved from Chicago, Illinois to East Tennessee. I want to capture what I now see before country living vanishes… at least in my area!

Thank the Lord for indoor plumbing !!!
My dad said they had to learn to whisle, as there was no lock on the door ! lol
Great shot and treatment, Bob !!!
LOL, much truth in what you say George!!! When our family moved to Richland, Indiana in the late sixties, our new home wasn’t so new. For close to a year, we had the “comforts” of an outhouse. I must say, the fresh air kept the lungs pure! I’m glad you dad could whistle, I couldn’t blow between my teeth.

Fantastic Again Bob Many Congratulations on your Feature in New to Vintage Group. Well done and so richly deserved my friend. All the best, Don.
Thanks again, Don!!! I have waited in line before, but not here. This is unusual for me, having a double feature in a single group, but I’ll take it, lol,… appreciate your visit and encouraging words!

Wow! People must have been much smaller then. I’d have to crawl to get in there, and I’m short.
Lol! Downsizing due to a low budget operation, I guess. Even the half moon on the door is just a quarter moon. Thanks for accepting my submission, regardless of its practical use, lol!
