Here’s a small herd of cattle we came across on our Highway 11E&W excursion between Knox and Granger Counties of East Tennessee. These four legged creatures aren’t shy. They were next to the fence which was about three feet from the road. I took a number of photos, got into the car and drove off. They didn’t seem scared or intimidated during the whole shoot, nor as we drove past them leaving the area.

As an artist I enjoy painting and photographing segments of rural life. Country living became a new world for me back in the sixties when we moved from Chicago, Illinois to East Tennessee. I want to capture what I now see before country living vanishes… at least in my area!

  • Thank you Myra… I think the cattle were as curious about us as we were of them. Much appreciated!!!
